Girdle care
Girdle care
Taking care of your girdle so it keeps its properties is very important. These are our recommendations for washing it:
- Hand wash.
- Avoid abrasive detergents.
- Don't use harsh cleaning products: they can damage the fibers, and chlorine can change the color.
- Don't put it in the dryer, since heat can damage the fabric and elastic elements.
- Don't hang it where direct sunlight hits it.
If you use a washing machine
It isn't ideal, but if you do, these tips will help protect your garment:
- Wash garments with straps (such as bras) separately, since straps can wrap around other items during the spin cycle and cause damage.
- Use a mesh laundry bag.
- Choose the delicate cycle with cold water.
- Always wash your girdle fully closed, so the hooks don't get tangled or damaged.
- Never put it in the dryer: heat damages the fibers and shortens the life of your girdle.
How often should you wash your girdle?
We recommend washing it every 4 days, but it depends on the treatment you're following. If you've had a clinical procedure, check with your doctor or specialist.
Key points to keep your girdle like new
- Hand wash with neutral soap.
- Keep it away from direct sun and dryers.
Our exclusive refrigerable packaging
Once your girdle is dry, store it in its packaging, which has a zip closure and is designed to be refrigerated. Put it in the refrigerator (not the freezer) for 6 to 8 hours; this helps the fibers recover and return to their natural state. Many customers do this overnight.
